Over at my self help blog, I wrote an article about Using Water to Program for Positive Affirmations. I would like to share that you can use the same technique for programming of healing from eczema.

In fact, I’ve been doing this consistently for the last one week to help my younger daugther, Min. Min has been itching at the folds between her upper and lower arm. While she has recovered substantially, there are still instances where I have caught her scratching that spot. I am not sure if it is out of habit or what but my sense is that she needs a slight “push” to tip her over to a more solid recovery.

So using the same technique as detailed on my blog post mentioned above, I’ve been programming water with affirmations of love and health almost every night for one week already. I asked the water to cleanse her every cell, infuse her with love and revitalise with great health. Although it would be hard for me to prove anything, I choose to believe that this is a very effective way of ensuring that she “absorbs” the positive affirmations. If her body is made of 70% water, then water is the perfect medium to ensure that the energy that the messages transmit get into every part of her.

In Masaru Emoto’s second book “The True Power of Water”, he also suggested sticking papers of affirmations inside the shower area over the tap. He recommended this to be an excellent idea for those suffering from skin problems. I tend to agree.

So other than drinking energized water, you can also use water similarly programmed for love and healing for bathing. As you cleanse your eczema skin, think positive thoughts. Do not focus your thoughts on worry and stress over your affected skin.

My recommendation is that you do not throw away the idea of positive thinking for healing as a load of crap. The mind is more powerful and capable than you realise. Not convinced? Read about my metal spoon bending experience here.

The way I see it, if you are sceptical about what I’m suggesting with my post today, there is really not much downside to having a change in attitudes. Feeling hopeful is definitely better than feeling defeated or despair over your eczema.

I have already shared the likelihood of eczema being a case of repressed anger. Repressed anger happens when you bottle up your feelings and do not find an outlet. Perhaps, you prefer not to have an outright confrontation with the other party or that you have simply been taught never to express your inner thoughts because doing so means that you are a weakling.

Treating eczema should be made on a holistic perspective; that is a full recovery can only be the case where there is balance in mind-body-spirit. Hence, instead of bottling up your anger and frustration, consider instead about communicating your stress to others.

Discussing your feelings in a positive way is not venting. Venting can turn into boring monologues and drowning in self-pity. The goal is to express and acknowledge your feelings to a trusted person in a one-on-one environment. If you do not feel you have someone you can talk to in confidence, then I recommend that you keep a journal. As you write, you are crystalizing and releasing the emotions you harbor inside.

Obviously, it will help if you can communicate in a positive manner. Turn the negatives in your life around and see if you can learn a useful lesson. Also use visualization to picture the positive results reducing stress. Laughter is also a good medicine; hence look at the funny side of life! Stress management experts say laughter releases the tension of pent-up emotions and helps us keep our perspective.

Anger is a toxin that needs to be eliminated. Over time, it can accumulate to create havoc in your body. My gut instincts tell me that repressed anger have manifested in symptoms of eczema for me in the past. Learning self expression and how to cope with stress in the recent years have been very helpful in keeping my eczema symptoms down.
