I just realised today (October 29) is World Psoriasis Day! I was surfing the net when I came upon the site itself to create public awareness about psoriasis. Here it is http://www.worldpsoriasisday.com/
On the site, you can also read about CariDee, who is a psoriasis sufferer, and who is now one of the most desired models in the States, after having won the American Next Top Model contest. There is hope yet for the many sufferers of skin disorder
Psoriasis and eczema patients both suffer from acute embarassment from looking unappealing. Contrary to what many people think, the skin conditions are not contagious. Psoriasis is potentially dangerous as it can increase the risk of heart disease, arthritis and other health conditions.
It is true that awareness about eczema and psoriasis needs to be raised. Sufferers often go untreated for their trauma and depression. Their quality of lives can be severely impacted.
However, much can be done to help alleviate the suffering of a skin disorder patient. If you are an eczema sufferer and have not bought my ebook on Eczema Diet Secrets, here is some good news for you. I’ve decided to offer a discount for this special day. The discount will end Oct 30, 0:01am EST (Eastern Standard Time) in the U.S. Get Eczema Diet Secrets By Clicking Here!

Can’t Get A Date Because Of Eczema Symptoms?
Filed Under Eczema Trauma, Eczema Symptoms | 2 Comments
“I’ve been feeling self conscious about my looks ever since I’ve had eczema symptoms from a very young age. I’ve never felt beautiful. My social life is badly affected. I do not dare look at another person straight in the eye. I tend to look away or lower my eyes. Needless to say, I’ve never been asked on a date. And neither do I have the confidence to ask someone interesting on a date. Eczema has ruined my life.”

This is what a subscriber wrote to me, sharing about how eczema has affected her confidence. I felt sad when I read her email. It is true that [tag-ice]eczema[/tag-ice] affects a person not just physically but emotionally as well. Choices in life can become severely limited because of the inflictions of a skin disorder. While it is easy to say that inner beauty is more important than outer, I have to recognise that ecologically, outward appearances have always played a key factor, in getting first dates with members of the opposite sex.
Dealing with [tag-dtec]eczema[/tag-dtec] is no easy matter, hence. It should be based on a holistic approach; that is mind-body-spirit. Where there is balance, health is restored. If Sarah feels stressed or become more anxious about life or her appearance, it may in fact worsen her eczema symptoms.
For the [tag-tec]eczema[/tag-tec] sufferer, it is important to remember that it is not just the first date that can help you gain a lifetime partner. I can attest that with enough self confidence and positiveness, others will naturally be attracted to you. The person who recognises your inner beauty and hangs around beyond many dates is the one worth waiting and fighting for.
