eczema on face pictureBy treatment 3 (out of 14 treatments), the reactions have spread to my entire face. See the photo shot taken. My face swelled. See the first photo on the initial skin reactions.

eczema on face pictureMy face gradually b became so bloated that I could barely open my eyes. This photo is taken at the peak of my reactions. For two days, I was almost blind due to the inability to open my eyes. It felt as if my view of the world was only through a single horizontal slit of the eye. I felt unrecognisable and refused to go out for the next 5 days.

Jimmy said that there could be a few reasons why toxins are coming out from my face. Firstly, he said that it was possible that the facials that I have gone to previously has not helped me released the toxins from my face. (During facials, steaming of the face is undertaken to help the skin release toxins through sweat). He also said that it was possible that the skin products used were not suitable for my face.

I was concerned that I was allergic to the emu oil that he used. He assured me that emu oil produce no known side effects or allergic reactions.

wooden tool for emu oil treatmentThis is perhaps a unique type of therapy treatment that you won’t find anywhere else. The treatment is similar to the Chinese guasha therapy. However, instead of the bullhorn, a wooden equipment (see picture on the left) is used.

Here is a brief except of the guasha therapy: First, the patient’s body is lubricated with oil. Then, the practitioner will scrape the body using round ended guasha tool. The tool can be small piece of metals, porcelain, coins, animal horns or jade. The path of movement of the Guasha tool can be through the meridian points or holographic points.

Guasha therapy creates ‘sha’ in the body of the patient. Sha looks like colored rashes on your skin. These rashes have a “millet-like” appearance. The sha in the body, are either stagnated body fluids or petechiae, are red spots caused by hemorrhage of capillaries. The stagnated body fluids are brought out to the subcutaneous layer of skin. The colours seen, whether red, purple, blue or green, depicts the seriousness of the condition. Usually, the rashes should disappear after 4-5 days.

In the emu oil therapy treatment that I am going through, the treatment process is similar. A wooden equipment is used to scrape. The oil is emu oil, of course. I got the appearance of “millet-like” rashes all over my legs and hands.

Please note that in no way am I recommending that anyone go on the treatments that I do.  I am merely sharing my experiences through my blog.
