At the beginning of the 6th week, I started to find strange looking lesions on my hands and legs. I suspected fungal infection. I have been unable to stop itching and continue to wake up in the nights to scratch my hands and legs. My itching and scratching must have made things worse as I was pretty sure that bacteria would have gotten into my skin by now. I tried to wear gloves and long pants to sleep but to no avail. I changed my bedsheets everyday. This scenerio carried on for more than 3-4 weeks. Eventually, I hade no choice but to see a dermatologist.

The dermatologist confirmed my suspicion and prescribed me a course of antibiotics. She also gave me an antifungal cream for me to apply on my affected parts (lesions)
and advised me to continue to moisturise as much as possible. She was very sure that I will get better and that after this 2 weeks, I can get back to the natural treatments that I wish to pursue for my eczema.

Since my face exploded to look like a huge tomato, I was utterly depressed. I refused to go out.

My husband came back from his business trip. He tried to be sensitive to my feelings. But somehow, he could not help himself and proclaimed that he could hardly recognise me.

Strangely, I did not experience any itch on my face. I still could not sleep every night due to intense itch and pain on my neck.

The eczema reactions that took hold on my face slowly receded after one week while the rashes on my neck took a period of two weeks.
